In an effort to further enhance its skills, Shiptech announces strategic alliances with key maritime players at a gathering on Sept. 17th. Mr. Ajit Kurup, Director of Shiptech made a brief speech on the alliances. The first alliance to be announced, was with TransportEdge, headed by Hitesh Hajarnavis, who took a few moments to introduce the company's services. Shiptech

Vessel Monitoring - Financial Institutions
Shiptech works closely with several leading Financial institutions, in their asset management program, focusing on post-finance monitoring of ships. We inspect ships using a continuous monitoring template, developed, to examine a ship from a systems point of view, focusing on overall management of the ship, in additional to traditional technical aspects. Shiptech in its pursuit for excellence, introduced, digital photography in all inspection reports, over 7 months ago. Pictures are stored, labeled and maintained in a database linked to each inspection report. Such storage allows monitoring of changes in vessel’s condition, from one inspection to another.
Banks and Financial Institutions have recently been in the limelight with numerous shipping loans having turned sour. Rock bottom freight rates have caused ship owners to default on their loan commitments.
